There are situations where customers notice that all of their race results in a Pack race have a status of "DNF" (Did not Finish), rather than the expected "Ok" status.
The most likely reason for this is:
- RaceHQ has the ability to record 'lap' times (and count laps) rather than only finishing times.
- The benefit of this is that the completed laps of the race are known by athlete. This is generally only a practical option when RFID timing is used, where the athlete time and identification is automatically recorded by RFID antennas and timing tags
- An option on Race screen allows the user to select how many laps are expected in the race.
- By default this is set to "Off" - so one race time/trigger for an athlete will get a status of "Ok".
- However if it is set to >1 laps, the status of the athletes results will be "DNF" until the expected number of laps/triggers is recorded for that athlete, at which point the status will turn to "Ok".
See below screenshot for the location of the "Expected Lap Count" setting.
- Below shows the default position of "Off"
The below screenshot shows an Expected Lap Count of 2. There is only one trigger/time recorded so far (which reflects 1 lap only) so the status at this point is "DNF" for this athlete as the software expects them to have 1 more lap to go until they finish the race.
