Data Retention & Deletion
Last updated: August 2026
Timing Solutions does not retain personal information indefinitely.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is held.
This may include providing and supporting our software and services, maintaining relevant historical sporting results and records, meeting legal and contractual obligations, resolving disputes and fulfilling other legitimate business purposes.
Our approach
We periodically review the personal information held within our systems to determine whether it remains necessary.
Where personal information is no longer required for a permitted purpose, we take reasonable steps to securely destroy or de-identify it, unless there is a legal, contractual or other legitimate requirement to retain it.
Reducing unnecessary information helps us minimise privacy and security risks.
Historical sporting results
Historical sporting results may continue to be retained where they are required to provide historical results functionality or maintain sporting records.
Retaining a historical result does not mean that all personal information originally collected in connection with that result needs to be retained.
Where appropriate, we may remove or de-identify personal information associated with historical records while retaining the core information required to maintain the sporting record.
Information that may be removed
Depending on the circumstances, information that is no longer required may include:
- date of birth;
- residential address;
- parent or guardian contact details;
- historical telephone numbers;
- proof-of-age or eligibility documentation; and
- other personal information that is no longer required for the relevant purpose.
Existing user account information may be retained where necessary to maintain the account or provide access to associated services or historical results.
Periodic data cleansing
Timing Solutions undertakes periodic reviews and cleansing of historical personal information.
The applicable retention period depends on the type of information, why it is held, the services being provided and applicable legal and contractual requirements.
Timing Solutions maintains internal retention schedules that specify the applicable periods and processes for different categories of information.
Exceptions
We may retain information for longer where required or authorised by law, court or tribunal order, contractual obligation, or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
Questions or requests
If you have questions about how long particular information is retained, or would like to request access to or deletion of your personal information, please contact:
