Overview

From the 2026/27 season, Tiny Tots can be included in ResultsHQ under a standardised and sustainable pricing model.

While Tiny Tots are non-competitive, syncing and supporting them within ResultsHQ incurs real and ongoing costs. As a result, Tiny Tots will attract a ResultsHQ fee.

Benefits of Tiny Tots in ResultsHQ

Some States/Centres choose to include Tiny Tots in ResultsHQ despite them not being competitive, as the platform provides a range of benefits:

• 📆 Weekly Attendance Tracking – Easily manage and monitor session attendance

• 📊 Participation Trends – Understand engagement over time

• 🧍 Volunteer Coordination – Helps plan volunteer numbers based on attendance

• 📝 Recording Sheets – Use ResultsHQ tools to organise Tiny Tots activities

• 👪 Family Engagement – Parents can see their child's participation each week

• 🧒 Athlete History – Begins a record that follows the child through older age groups

• ✨ Inclusion in Gala Days and other events 

• 💬 Improved Communication – Families can receive updates and notifications via the platform 

Why Tiny Tots Are Not Free

Although Tiny Tots are non-competitive, their inclusion in ResultsHQ still requires platform resources, including:

• Platform infrastructure costs

  • Servers, storage, API usage, and bandwidth

• Increased support demand

  • User support, troubleshooting, and assistance

• Increased platform and liability exposure

  • Additional users, data handling, and compliance considerations

Historically, some of these costs were partially subsidised through registration revenue. Without that revenue stream, providing Tiny Tots access free of charge is no longer sustainable.

Why ResultsHQ Cannot Be Customised by Age Group

ResultsHQ supports multiple results entry pathways, which limits the ability to customise functionality by age group. These entry points include: 

• ResultsHQ Web

• ResultsHQ Mobile App

• RaceHQ

• Results imports

• Additional results entry options are also available via ResultsHQ Web

All of these entry points contribute to platform complexity, ongoing costs, and support requirements, making it impractical to restrict or disable results entry specifically for Tiny Tots.

Tiny Tot Fees (Effective 26/27 Season)

• Tiny Tots synced into ResultsHQ will incur a ResultsHQ fee

• Pricing will be applied consistently across all States

• Tiny Tots will be billed in line with other athletes under existing ResultsHQ billing arrangements

• To commence Tiny Tots syncing:

  • The registration platform must remove Tiny Tots restrictions

  • Tiny Tots must be included in the sync to ResultsHQ

Previous Arrangement (For Context)

When Timing Solutions was the registration platform:

• Tiny Tots were registered directly in ResultsHQ

• Tiny Tots were billed as part of the single-platform registration process

With external registration platforms:

• Tiny Tots were not included in the sync

• Tiny Tots did not appear in ResultsHQ

• Tiny Tots were not billed by Timing Solutions
