๐ Trial Athletes in ResultsHQ
Athletes registered as Trialists can participate in up to two meets before they are expected to transition to full registration.
๐ Trialists are intended for first-time athletes only.
๐ฒ Trial athletes who participate in more than two meets will incur a charge.
๐ฅ Centre Responsibilities
Centres are responsible for clearly communicating Trialist conditions to families & ensuring correct setup in Sport80, including:
- โ Families are informed that Trial athletes are limited to two meets only
- โ Trial expiry is correctly set in Sport80
- โ Families are informed that ongoing participation requires full registration
- โ Trialist attendance can be monitored using ResultsHQ reporting tools (see below)
Regular monitoring can help ensure Trialists do not exceed the permitted participation limit.
๐ How to Monitor Trialists
1๏ธโฃ Identify Trialists
Use Sport80 to identify athletes registered with Trialist status.
2๏ธโฃ Generate an Attendance Report
- Go to Centre Admin in ResultsHQ
- Open Report Builder
- Select the Trialist athletes
- Change the report type to Attendance
- Click Submit to generate the report
The attendance report will show how many meets each Trialist has attended.
3๏ธโฃ Update Athlete Status
If a Centre has concerns that a Trialist may continue participating beyond their permitted meets, the athlete status can be updated in ResultsHQ to "History" after their second meet to prevent further participation without registration.
โผ๏ธ Please ensure the trial is ended in Sport80, then run a sync so the athleteโs status is updated to (or remains) โHistoryโ in ResultsHQ. If the trial has not expired in Sport80, the athlete will be set back to โActiveโ when the Centre performs a sync.
