Introduction
From time to time, we invite users to try an early (beta) version of the ResultsHQ mobile apps before it is released to everyone. Beta testers get to use upcoming features first and help us find any issues, so the final release works well for all our users.
On iPhone and iPad, the beta is installed through Apple’s free TestFlight app. On Android, the beta is delivered through the Google Play Store, just like a normal app update.
What This Document Covers
Feature Explanations
What is a beta version?
A beta version is a version of the app that is still being tested. It includes features that are not yet available in the regular app. Because it is still being tested, you may occasionally notice small issues. Your feedback helps us fix them before the full release.
What is TestFlight? (iPhone and iPad)
TestFlight is a free app made by Apple that lets you install and test beta versions of apps. You can download it from the App Store. Once you join our beta, the beta mobile app will appear inside TestFlight, and it will notify you when new beta versions are available.
How does the Android beta work?
On Android, there is no separate app to download. Once you join the beta program using your invitation link, the Google Play Store simply updates your mobile app to the beta version.
What you will need
An invitation from the ResultsHQ team. This will be either an email invitation or a link we send you.
The iPhone, iPad, or Android device you want to test on.
Android only: the Google account you use on the Play Store. If we have asked for your email address, it must be the same Google account.
Your usual ResultsHQ family login details. The beta uses the same account.
