Please begin by reviewing the ResultsHQ Mobile App Summary – Timing Solutions Support Forum for a high-level overview
To use the new ResultsHQ app effectively, we recommend the following minimum device specifications:
- RAM: At least 2GB of RAM for both mobile and tablet devices.
-
Operating System:
- Android: Version 6.0 or higher
- iOS: Version 13.4 or higher
- Device Release Year: For optimal performance, we suggest using a device released from 2020 onwards.
- To get started, download the ResultsHQ app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Roles: The app offers a primary administrative role with full Centre access, along with four additional administrative roles, each with delegated feature access. Additionally, there is a limited-access role for volunteers.
a. SuperUser - Full access to the Centre. This role is setup from Centre Admin on the web.
b. ResultsHQMobile ResultsEntryUser - Has access only to the Results Entry function and is set up from centre admin on the web.
c. ResultsHQMobile StartlineUser - Access to the StartLine function only. Set up from Centre Admin on the web.
d. ResultsHQMobile CheckInUser - Access to the Check-In function only. Set up from Centre Admin on the web.
e. ResultsHQMobile CR Approver - Access to the Record Approvals function only. Set up from Centre Admin on the web.
f. Volunteer - By default, volunteers have no access. They must scan volunteer tokens set up by Centre SuperUsers in the app to gain access to additional functionality. Volunteers can self-sign up via the mobile app or log in with an existing role (not one of the five administrative roles). This can even include a family user. For more details on creating a volunteer profile, refer to the User Guide: User Guide | 3.1 Creating a volunteer profile.
Please note: Assignment to the above roles provides access to the ResultsHQ Mobile App only and does not include Centre Admin access on the web. For web access, a Super User must assign it separately following the standard process.
-
Getting Started with Full Access: To use the application with full access, you need to be set up as a SuperUser for your Centre in Centre Admin. Another SuperUser in your Centre can do this by following these steps:
-
Navigate to https://centreadmin.resultshq.com.au/Login and login with your email and password.
-
Click on Setup and then select Users.
-
Click on the Add User button
-
Fill in the First Name, Last Name, Phone and Email.
-
Click on Access level and choose SuperUser.
- Click Submit.
-
The new user will receive an email with an invitation to accept. They must click the link in the email and accept the invitation.
-
-
Assigning Delegated Feature Access
If you wish to assign them to a delegated feature access role, follow the same steps, but instead of selecting SuperUser, choose one of the four “ResultsHQMobile” user roles. You can also assign multiple roles after the user has been added:
a. Go back to Setup > Users, click the down arrow next to the user, and click Edit.
b. Hold down the Control key to select multiple roles.
c. Click Save once you've finished.
-
Applying Restrictions
You can restrict the four “ResultsHQMobile” user roles or even the SuperUser role to specific Age/Gender/Event restrictions by:
a. Returning to the Edit screen.
b. Clicking on Mobile Access.
c. Selecting the Age/Gender/Event restrictions you want for this user.
d. Click on Add Events to apply the restrictions.
These restrictions will apply in the mobile app for users with Results Entry and Check-In roles but will not apply to StartLine or Record Approvals.
- Logging in as a SuperUser: Once you're set up as a SuperUser, you can follow these steps to log into the app:
a. Enter your email in the provided field and tap the Next button.
b. On the next screen, enter your password.
c. Click the eye icon (password visibility toggle) if you need to verify your typed password.
d. If you've forgotten your password, tap the Click Here link for instructions on resetting it.
e. Once your credentials are entered, tap Login to start using the app. If your credentials are correct, you'll be taken to the app's home screen.
For additional support, click the Help link in the bottom right corner during the login process.
