One Profile per Centre – Streamlining ResultsHQ Usage
Our standard configuration in ResultsHQ is one profile per Centre, a structure consistently applied across all Centres and States. As part of a broader initiative to improve efficiency and system performance, we are moving towards a single-profile model for each Centre.
This shift is designed to reduce the support and maintenance overhead involved in managing multiple profiles and to enable us to deliver faster, more consistent service across the platform.
In practice, many Centres - including those with 500+ members - already manage their operations effectively within a single profile.
Why Were Separate Carnival Profiles Used?
From discussions with several Centres, we’ve identified a few common reasons why separate carnival profiles have been used in the past:
- To exclude carnival results from season point calculations
- To maintain separate records for carnival events
However, ResultsHQ has evolved over time and now fully supports these needs within a single profile.
How to Exclude a Meet from Points Calculations
- To exclude a meet from contributing to season point scores, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Meet Management from the top menu
- Click on Calendar
- Locate the meet you wish to exclude and click the eye icon to view its details
- Scroll down and tick the checkbox labeled "Exclude from calculations"
- "Submit" your changes
This will ensure the meet's results are recorded but do not impact point tallies for athletes.
Alternatively, when performing a points calculation, you can manually select which meets to include. Simply leave the carnival meet unchecked, so it will not be factored into the points total.
Maintaining Separate Records for Carnival Events
To keep carnival records, separate within your main Little Athletics Centre profile, follow these steps:
-
Export the carnival records in Excel format from the Event Records screen.
-
In the exported Excel file, change the Record Type from home to "other".
-
Import this updated Excel file back into your main Little Athletics Centre profile. All carnival records will now be marked as "other".
-
Next, go to the Meet View screen for the carnival meet:
- Click on Meet Options at the bottom of the page.
-
Change the "CR Type for Meet" from "home" to "other".
This process ensures that all carnival results are linked exclusively to the "other" record type, keeping them separate from your main Centre records while still managed within a single profile..
Historical Results from a previous additional profile?
If a Centre has previously hosted events in an external profile and now wishes to host those events within their main Centre profile, that’s absolutely fine. The Centre will still have access to view the historical results in the external profile.
If the Centre would like prior-season results moved from the external profile into their main Centre profile, they can simply email support@timingsolutions.com.au with the request.
💡It’s helpful to include a brief explanation of the objective so we can confirm that this approach is the best way to achieve their desired outcome.
Profile Pricing
If your Centre requires maintaining an additional ResultsHQ profile beyond the scenarios outlined above, we can accommodate this on a case-by-case basis. Please note that enabling an extra profile incurs an annual fee to cover additional support and maintenance costs.
- Little Athletics Clubs within a State contract: $200+GST per year
- All other customers: $300+GST per year
- Note: If the Nomination feature is used to move athletes into this additional profile, standard Nomination Fees may also apply.
If this option suits your Centre’s needs, please contact us at support@timingsolutions.com.au
with the details of your request.
