Context: RaceHQ is used to record race results, allocated athlete names to race results, and save race results locally on your computer. It can then be used to upload these race results into ResultsHQ. 

Occasionally there are reasons why these results may not upload to ResultsHQ. 

This article provides some potential reason why your results will not upload from RaceHQ to ResultsHQ, and how to resolve the problem

1 Races are missing "Heat Type" 

In some cases RaceHQ fails to include it's default Heat type of "Heat" on races. 

How do I determine if this is the causing my issue? 

• In RaceHQ open "Settings" via the cog icon in top right of the application (for further information on settings see this article RaceHQ Settings / Options)
  • Go to the "General" tab
  • Enable the option called "Show Heat Type Selections". This will include a drop down "Heat Type" selection box in Race and Saved Events screens
  • Close Settings
• Visit your "Saved Events" for the races that you are having troubles with. 
  • Select an individual race from the drop down list at top of screen
  • Inspect the "Heat" drop down box that is now available. 
  • If the value in the drop down box says "Select" (ie. there is no value set) then this is the source of your upload problem. The heat type value needs to be set to match what you have configured in your ResultsHQ Events -> generally this would be "Heat". 
  • If this was the source of your problem you will need to edit each of your races to have the correct Heat type. 
  • Try now to Upload your indivudal race to see if you have sucess. 

  • If you do not have success in uploading: there may be a need to scroll through each of the athlete names in each race by pressing 'tab' on each result. This has an effect of 'updating' the result with the correct Heat type so that it will upload correctly
