Family Email (via the sync) vs User Account Email in ResultsHQ  

Family Email in ResultsHQ

• The Family Email is the email address families use when registering for Athletics.

• In ResultsHQ, the Family Email acts as a unique identifier that links sibling athletes and ensures all family-related results stay connected throughout the lifetime of their membership. 

• It is also the primary contact address where all system communications from ResultsHQ - such as welcome emails etc - are sent.

User Account / Username Email

The Family Email is separate from the User Account (Username) Email, which is used only for logging into the platform.

Existing Families

If an existing family registers through a non-Timing Solutions registration platform using a different email address, and their data syncs correctly through the registration platform's sync, the Family Email in ResultsHQ will automatically update to the new address received through the sync.

As a result, the family will receive a “Welcome Back” email from ResultsHQ sent to the new Family Email, containing login instructions.

Logging in with Previous Email 

Even after the Family Email has been updated, families should still log in using their previous User Account email address and password, which are often saved from past seasons.

**This is possible even if the old email address is no longer active.

The only complication arises if a family:

• No longer remembers their password, AND

• No longer has access to their previous email address to reset it.

In this case, they can contact our support team at support@timingsolutions.com.au to reset their account.

Once logged in, families can view the primary and secondary user accounts associated with their profile.
If the previous login email is outdated or no longer in use, they can choose to update it to a current email address.

New Families or First-Time Users

• Families who are new to ResultsHQ or who have never created an account before will receive a “Welcome to ResultsHQ” email.

• This will be sent to the Family Email provided via the sync, with instructions on how to log in and create an account in ResultsHQ.
