- Choose the athletes you wish to add to the event.
- Select the athletes you want to add and click on the "Add" button.
1.3.2 High Jump
1.3.2.1 Simple High Jump Entry
If the “Simple HJ Entry” option is ticked on in settings (it is off by default), high jump results can be entered just like sprint events.
Enter the best heights cleared for each athlete in meters (i.e. a result of 0.72 would be 72cm). If there is a tie then a window will show when exiting the results screen, by either tapping “Back” or the "Home" icon:
In this screen you can enter tie break information. To start, only “Level Attempts” will show. Tap on one of the grey circles (or other icons to change) to set the attempts the athlete took at the best height. If there is still a tie then the “Total Failures” edit box will appear. This is where you can enter a number indicating the total number of failures across all attempts the athlete made at all heights. If there is still a tie after this then the places will be equal.
1.3.2.2 Traditional High Jump Entry
In the Traditional HJ option, the user will enter the results for each of the three attempts at the current height by selecting the appropriate circle (green for a successful attempt, red for a failed attempt, or yellow for a skipped attempt). The results represent different possible outcomes for each attempt.
- Green Circle (O): Indicates a successful attempt.
- Red Cross (X): Indicates a failed attempt.
- Orange Dash (-): Indicates an attempt that was skipped.
- Grey Circle (O): Indicates that there is no result yet.
- Click on the high jump event to view the result edit screen.
- If no height has been set a screen will show to set the first height. Set the height of the bar by dragging the arrow to the height we want to set and click save. If the height is not set, you will not be allowed to enter results for any athlete.
- Once a height has been set, click on an athlete to enter results as attempts. Standard HJ countback logic (attempts at tied height and total failures) is applied to break ties. These values (if any are required) are shown in the HJ place summary screen.
1.3.2.3 HJ Place Summary
The Place Summary screen displays the ranking of the athletes, with icons representing 1st (Gold trophy), 2nd (Silver trophy), and 3rd (Bronze trophy) places. The HJ Place Summary screen goes one step further and displays a summary of results for each height which you can navigate by scrolling horizontally.
The HJ Place Summary Screen also serves to show any countback logic if there are ties. Attempts at tied height and total failures is applied to break ties. The green circle represents attempts at tied height and the red X represents total failures. For e.g.: refer the below image where the tie between Amberly and Felix has been broken by establishing that even though they had equal number of attempts (3) at their tied height, Amberly had only 2 total failures while Felix had 3, which places Amberly above Felix.
1.3.3 Field Events
This covers all field events excluding High Jump.

1.3.4 Place Summary
The Place Summary screen displays the ranking of the athletes, with icons representing 1st (Gold trophy), 2nd (Silver trophy), and 3rd (Bronze trophy) places.
1.4 Screen layout
The main meet screen is split into List/Matrix views with the list view being the default. Filtering will allow to filter based on gender/age/events. Clicking on meet selection will take you back to the Select meet screen which also acts like a back button.
1.4.1 List view
List view is the default where all meets set up are listed in event order. If a result is added to any event in this screen, it will automatically migrate it to the results tab. Tapping on an event will allow you to view more detailed information or to manage participants. When filtering in the list view you can enable/disable “events with results” and “events without results” in the list view. Events with results will have a grey border.
1.4.2 Matrix view
The matrix view will display the events in a 3-grid format for the mobile and 6 for the tab. This is primarily used to bulk input results for athletes of multiple age/gender for a single event.
Age/genders for a single event type are grouped together and you can multi-select age/gender within that event type and be taken into a consolidated result entry view for all the selected age/genders. Any results entered this way would reflect in their corresponding events. E.g.: Multi select 9F and 10F and it would show a consolidated view of all the 9F and 10F athletes, now any results entered for 9F athletes will populate in the 9F event and likewise for the 10F athletes.
1.5 Nomination and Denomination of athletes
This screen allows to denominate or nominate an athlete. If an athlete has been checked in from User Guide | 5.1 Checking In Athletes | they are automatically nominated and show up on this screen.
You can also denominate athletes in this screen by clicking the arrow on the right. (assuming the allow denominations setting is turned on). The denominated athletes will appear on the denominated tab as shown below.
1.6 Uploading Results
The status indicator provides a clear visual representation of the current state of results, helping the user to know at a glance which event results have been uploaded, in progress, or pending.
- Green dot - indicates results have been uploaded
- Orange dot - indicates the upload of results are in-progress
Uploads only trigger when you exit the results view screen or you click on the Upload button.
We support syncing results across multiple devices but we do not recommend two different people editing the same event at the same time as this may cause sync issues with one uploading overriding the other.
1.7 Age Up
Aging up or down of athletes is supported in the application in a number of ways. Usually centres would want to age up when there are not enough athletes in a particular age/gender. For the purpose of this application anytime we refer to “Age up” it refers to the act of having an athlete participate in an age or gender outside of their actual age or gender. Any aged up athlete will have their result uploaded to the event that they are aged up in and not in their original age/gender event.
To age up an athletes you first need to ensure that the “Allow calendar creation with API?” setting in centre admin is turned on. This can be turned on by logging into centre admin on the web, clicking on Setup and accessing Profile Details. Now scroll down and change the “Allow calendar creation with API?” to Yes and click Submit.
You can age up an athlete via the following methods:
- In the list view select an event to go into the results view of that event and click on the add athlete button.
- Now click on the filter athlete list dropdown which will show the list filtered for that event’s age gender.
- You can now click on other age/genders and expand the filtered list and press and hold to multi-select these athletes (or just click on an athlete if you’re only adding one) that you want to age up and click add athletes.
- Any athletes added this way will be displayed with an age up indicator.
You can also age up in matrix view but only if you select one age/gender at a time and go into the results view and follow the same steps as above to add athlete. If you selected more than one age/gender when using the matrix view then we restrict the add athlete button from being selected as the app has no means of knowing which age/gender event you are adding this athlete to.
Do note if you have already aged up any athletes via the list view, you can use the matrix view to access them and amend/add results if needed. This can even be done when an aged up athlete is participating in the same event type for multiple age groups. E.g.: refer to the below image where Zoe Alcock has already been aged up through the list view to 10F and now when selecting the matrix view with both 9F and 10F she appears twice but one is as an aged up athlete.
1.8 Personal Best (PBs)
PBs which stand for Personal Bests actually refer to the personal best for the current season. Any reference to PB for this application essentially refers to the Season PB. When a new season starts via a season rollover in Centre Admin the first result an athlete has for that season for an event is usually the first PB for that season for that particular event. Going forward if the athlete has any result for that event type which is better than the season PB then that becomes the new season PB.
Anytime the athlete sets a new season PB this is indicated via a silver trophy icon that appears next to his result.
There are specific settings that can be changed through centre admin in the web to change the season PB behavior. To access these login to centre admin and go to setup and click points. Now click on PB and you can change the following settings:
- Exclude athlete first result Season PB - If enabled this will ensure that the first result for the season is not a PB but it will still use that as the reference value for the second result of the season to determine if the season PB has been broken. This primarily affects points when you have tied or broken the season PB.
- Exclude nominated athlete first result Season PB - This is the same as above but applies to athletes nominated from other centres instead of for full centre members. If your centre does not have any nominated members from other centres then do not worry about this setting.
- Equal PB gets a PB status flag - If enabled this would indicate that you’ve made a new season PB even when you equal the existing season PB.
- Use season PB's from previous season as initial Season PB value - When enabled it would use the prior Season’s PB as the initial Season PB value.
1.9 Results Entry Settings
- Show track events - If show track events are switched on then only field events will be shown on the application.
- Simple HJ entry - When enabled, the Simple high jump interface will be displayed instead of the normal high jump interface. This simple version is usually used post event. The Traditional high jump is best used during the event as you record the results and attempts in real time. In contrast, the Simple method lets you key in the final height and the total number of attempts to get to that final height. This is particularly useful when entering data using paper recording sheets. Enabling this feature will also activate a sub-setting for countback which will follow a similar logic to the default countback for Traditional HJ where tiebreakers are determined by previous results.
- Disable Denomination - When enabled, this feature allows you to move athletes from nominated to "denominated" status, from the results screen, so the results screen only shows those who are present. If not enabled, the results screen will show all eligible athletes.
- Countback Placing - When enabled this logic will be applied to other field events to help split up tiebreakers. If you do not want equal places, this will look at the second-best attempt and if needed the third best attempts to determine placing. If not enabled, then multiple athletes can have the same placing.
- Max HJ Heights - This allows you to set a maximum number of heights, e.g. 8 height changes allowed.
- Max HJ Jumps - This sets the number of attempts the athlete can actually jump (regardless of the number of height attempts).
- Successive Failures - This sets the maximum successive failures allowed irrespective of height. Eg: if the setting is set to 3 and an athlete fails twice but opts to “pass” the third time, then he cannot afford to fail again without clearing an attempt successfully.
- View logs - This will open up another screen with the logs for the day.
