6.3 Results Entry Settings
- Show track events - If show track events are switched on then only field events will be shown on the application.
- Simple HJ entry - When enabled, the Simple high jump interface will be displayed instead of the normal high jump interface. This simple version is usually used post event. The non-simple high jump is best used during the event as you record the results and attempts in real time. In contrast the Simple method lets you key in the final height and the total number of attempts to get to that final height. This is particularly useful when entering data using paper recording sheets.
Enabling this feature will also activate a sub-setting for countback which will follow a similar logic to the default countback for non-simple HJ where tiebreakers are determined by previous results. - Disable Denomination - When enabled, this feature allows you move athletes from nominated to "denominated" status, from the results screen, so the results screen only shows those who are present. If not enabled, the results screen will show all eligible athletes.
- Countback Placing - When enabled this logic will be applied to other field events to help split up tiebreakers. if you do not want equal places, this will look at the second-best attempt and if needed the third best attempts to determine placing. If not enabled, then multiple athletes can have the same placing.
- Max HJ Heights - This allows to set a maximum number of Heights, e.g. 8 height changes allowed.
- Max HJ Jumps - This sets the number of attempts the athlete can actually jump (regardless of the number of height attempts).
- Successive Failures - This sets the maximum successive failures allowed irrespective of height. E.g.: if the setting is set to 3 and an athlete fails twice but opts to “pass” the third time then, he cannot afford to fail again without clearing an attempt successfully.
- View logs - This will open up another screen with the logs for the day.
