Details of Changes
1. WEB - The Field Event Entry page in ResultsHQ Web now offers two options. Users can choose between a single entry field or three separate fields.
Option 1: The original setup.
The Field Event Entry page in ResultsHQ Web initially only featured a single field for result entry, where the first entry was automatically considered the best attempt.
Users can press the tab key to move to the next athlete.
This is the default screen on the web (unless more than one attempt has been included in any of the results from that meet).
Option 2: The advanced setup
The web now supports three input fields for attempts for results entry.
This change was implemented in response to significant Centre feedback to:
- Align with recording sheets
- Ensure consistency across the web portal, the new ResultsHQ app, and CompHQ
- See "What Has Changed" for further details below
Previous Setup:
- Web: The web interface had only one field for result entry, which was automatically considered the best attempt.
- Recording Sheets: Allowed users to enter three separate attempts.
- Mobile: Allowed users to enter results for three separate attempts, automatically calculating the best result.
- Mismatch: This discrepancy resulted in a lack of attempt details in the web view, leading to inconsistencies between the web, recording sheets, and mobile views.

FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Will both track and field events use the same import template?
A: Yes, the behavior remains consistent with the current system.
Q2: Does this result import apply to all high jump formats?
A: No, this import process only applies to simple high jump. Traditional high jump formats will continue to follow their existing processes.
Q3: What happens if I enter results manually and then import new results?
A: The imported results will overwrite the manually entered ones to ensure the latest and most accurate data is displayed.
Q5: Is it mandatory to fill all three attempt columns during result entry or result import?
A: No, it is not mandatory. At least one attempt is sufficient, and the system will calculate the best result from the available data.
Q6: How do I know if a HJ event has traditional HJ results entered?
A: When you open the result edit screen on the web, the system will automatically load the traditional HJ interface if any data has already been entered in this mode. Otherwise, you will see the default simple HJ entry interface.
Q7: Can I switch back to the old Simple HJ mode for high jump events?
A: Yes, you can switch back to the Simple HJ entry mode by removing all results for an event that were added in Traditional HJ entry mode. Once the results are removed, the event will reset to a fresh start, and you will be able to use the default Simple HJ entry mode again.
